The Indian Railways on Thursday cancelled all tickets for regular passenger trains, including mail, express and suburban services, for journeys booked up to June 30. These train tickets were boked when railway reservation was open before the pandemic. A full refund will be sent to the people whose tickets have been cancelled.
This cancellation will have no effect on the Special 30 trains and Shramik trains that have been started by the government with revised rules to take migrants and stranded people home.
The railways has earlier cancelled the tickets for the months of April and May with full refund to the passengers.
The “special” trains, on the other hand, have been started from New Delhi to connect cities in Assam, Bengal, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Jammu, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Tripura.

The Railways has also run 642 “shramik” special trains as of Wednesday.
