The Lucknow Division will now use color-coded services for passengers on trains operated by North Eastern Railway (NER). Passengers will be served by railway employees dressed in bright saffron, blue, and vibrantly green jackets.
The railway official mentioned in a statement that “Those in orange jackets will provide bed rolls while the blue jacket personnel will take care of the cleanliness and onboard housekeeping. Swachhta Prahari in green will supervise all the personnel and the overall cleanliness of the train,”
The official also added in his statement that as of now this color-coded service is currently available in Pushpak Express (12533), Kushinagar Express (22537), and Raptisagar Express (12511) under a pilot project. Further, he also added that “In the coming week, Chhapra Express (15054) will also be added to this list and other trains in the division depending upon the success of the project,”
Mahesh Gupta the public relations officer of Northern Eastern Railways, Lucknow mentioned in a statement that “This has been done for better services so that passengers can identify who to ask for help. This will also remove confusion for passengers as they usually do not know whom to reach out to for a particular task.”
Further Mahesh Gupta the public relations officer of Northern Eastern Railways, Lucknow in his statement mentioned that “With this system, it will be easy to identify the `Swachhta Prahari` deployed for monitoring the passengers during the journey and the passengers’ complaints regarding their needs and cleanliness will be resolved quickly,”
