Donald Trump, during his recent Presidential debate with Democrat rival Joe Biden, pissed some Indian off after he referred to what he called the “filthy air” in India, China and Russia to defend his move of exiting from the Paris Climate Agreement.
“Look at China, how filthy it is. At Russia. Look at India. The air is filthy. I walked out of the Paris Accord as we had to take out trillions of dollars and we were treated very unfairly,” he said during the second and final debate ahead of the November 3 US polls.
Donald Trump during the argument surely forgot how the USA is one of the largest emitters of CO2 in the world, and directly responsible for global warming across the world. So even if the USA was spending ‘trillions,’ it was the compensation for destroying the planet and not a favour.
For the unaware, the Paris Climate Agreement is an agreement between 175 parties to work closely to keep the global temperature below 2-degree celsius. Donald Trump retreated America from the agreement back in 2017 claiming “there is no such thing as Climate Change.”
“I will not sacrifice millions of jobs… thousands of companies because of the Paris Accord. It is very unfair,” Trump added at the televised debate.
Biden’s Reply

This is notably the second time in recent months when Trump has made a critical statement against the Asian countries. He earlier, when questioned about his incapacity in dealing with COVID-19 in America, said that India has fewer deaths because India doesn’t “exactly give you a straight count,”

Well, Mr. Trump is not seemingly ready to accept that Indians are much immune than Americans, besides entertaining the largest youth population and thus can fight the pandemic better. It’s as simple as that.
