The 3rd private train of Indian Railways network is all set to begin operations this month. Like the first two private trains (Tejas) this would also be run by IRCTC ( Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation).
The train named ‘Kashi Mahakal Express’ would run between Indore and Varanasi. The train would consist of all AC coaches and would run three days a week. It will be the first private train that will do an overnight journey and also operate from the holy town of Varanasi.
The present two private trains Tejas Express return to their point of origin on the same day. The inaugural run of the train is scheduled for 20th February that is a day before the festival of Shivratri.

The train would have comfortable seats LED lights, CCTV cameras for the safety and security of the passengers. Multiple mobile charging ports would also be there. IRCTC which is operating trains on Delhi-Lucknow and Ahmedabad-Mumbai route would add a long route to its list with this train. The announcement of the train was made by Railway Minister Piyush Goyal on 12 January.
