Indian Railways’ first private train, namely, Lucknow-Delhi Tejas Express, in its first month in business has reported a revenue of nearly Rs. 3.70 crore. The IRCTC-run train has made a profit of Rs.70 lakh in October. Started on October 5, Lucknow-Delhi Tejas Express is the fastest train running between Delhi and Lucknow.

As far as the timing of its journeys go, the Tejas Express leaves Lucknow at 6.10 am and reaches New Delhi railway station at 12.25 pm. On its return journey, the train leaves Delhi at 3.35 pm and reaches Lucknow at 10.05 pm
