The 90’s kids dream has come to life with Circus, Byomkesh Bakshi, Ramayan, and Mahabharat being back on DD. However, the nostalgia is incomplete without our very own ‘Desi’ superhero ‘Shaktimaan’. And now that vacuum is going to be filled soon.
Actor Mukesh Khanna who played the iconic role of ‘Shaktimaan’ and ‘Gangadhar’ made the announcement. Khanna who has a YouTube channel uploaded his video informing about the comeback of ‘Shaktimaan’. He informed that ‘Shaktimaan’ would return with a sequel. That is a new series of episodes. Khanna said that the discussion of sequel was going on for long and the shooting would soon begin once the COVID-19 crisis is over.
He said that the decision to air Ramayan and Mahabharat in the times of lockdown has been a welcome move and Shaktimaan will follow suit. In the meanwhile, the old series can be telecasted (as per the hints provided). Iconic mythological TV series, Ramayana, which first aired from 1987-1988 and Mahabharat have already being aired last weekend. Circus and Byomkesh Bakshi were also telecasted.

This can be seen as an effort from the side of the government to keep people at home amidst the 21 days lockdown. To contain COVID-19 PM Narendra Modi announced a lockdown on 24th March 2020.
