Days ago IndiGo Airlines denied the on-boarding of a specially-abled teen because of his unnatural behaviour “on a Hyderabad-bound flight at the Ranchi Airport.” A few days later when this incident caught the attention of Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, he got furious about it and condemned the incident by saying he will investigate the matter himself.
Mr Scindia tweeted and said “There is zero tolerance towards such behaviour. No human being should have to go through this! Investigating the matter by myself, post which appropriate action will be taken.” as a response to the detailed information of the incident shared by a passenger who was present at that time.

Statement By Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA)
A senior official of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) stated to The Indian Express that they are seeking a detailed report from the Airlines and the aviation safety regulator is thoroughly investigating the incident. A Statement made by IndiGo Airlines states “that the child could not board the flight…as he was in a state of panic.”
This incident caught the attention of thousands of netizens after being uploaded on Facebook by a passenger who was present at the time of the boarding process and was waiting for his turn. Manish Gupta, The Post Author, told the Indian Express “that the IndiGo staff did not show any compassion.”
Mr Gupta said, “He (the staff on duty) had made up his mind and that was it”, he added “that she works in the social sector and has the experience in dealing with matters of disability rights”. Then the lady took the flight on a different Airline to Delhi.
