IndiGo Launches New Seat Selection Feature for Women Travelers

With the new option that IndiGo has added, female travellers can now see the seats other female travellers have secured in advance while checking in online. This initiative’s primary goal is to increase the comfort and safety of female travellers.

This function is designed especially for Passenger Name Records (PNR) containing female travellers, whether travelling alone or as part of a family. “IndiGo is proud to announce the introduction of a new feature that aims to make the travel experience more comfortable for our female passengers,” the airline said in a statement. In keeping with our #GirlPower ethos, this was launched based on market research and is presently in the initial phase.”

“We are committed to providing an unparalleled travel experience for all our passengers, and this new feature is just one of the many steps we are taking towards achieving that goal,” IndiGo stated.

In the meantime, the biggest airline in the nation recently said that it will start offering business-class flights this year to provide customers with more alternatives in the face of rapid economic development. IndiGo will introduce a “tailor-made business product,” the specifics of which will be disclosed in August, coinciding with the carrier’s 18th anniversary.

According to the reports, the profitable carrier said less than a month ago that it would purchase thirty wide-body aircraft. This statement coincides with that announcement.

The airline notably only offers an economy class. With a fleet of about 360 aircraft, it conducts over 2,000 daily flights. The organization stated, “In a groundbreaking move to redefine business travel in India, IndiGo, India’s most preferred airline, announces the plan to launch a tailor-made business product for India’s busiest and business routes.”

IndiGo emphasized that it is time to go forward with its development, saying that it is essential to redefine premium travel in India and increase the country’s access to this service given the country’s expanding economy and shifting societal aspirations.

Pieter Elbers, CEO of IndiGo, continued, “India’s and IndiGo’s growth stories have been closely linked over the past 18 years.” We think it’s our duty to provide the New India even more alternatives to pick from when they travel for business, especially as the country prepares to emerge as the third largest economy in the world,” he continued.
