The widely used photo-sharing app has announced working on a feature in order to enhance the user experience. Today, Instagram has announced that users can now add up to four pronouns to their profiles. Additionally, they also have the option to make pronouns public or make them visible only to their followers. However, this feature has rolled out only in few countries.
Taking to Twitter, Vice President of Product at Instagram, Vishal Shah tweeted, “Now you can add pronouns to your profile with a new field. It’s another way to express yourself on Instagram, and we’ve seen a lot of people adding pronouns already, so hopefully, this makes it even easier. Available in a few countries today with plans for more.”

Glimpse to Instagram Pronouns
You can add the pronouns to their profile under the Edit Profile section. The option to add pronouns can found just below the Name column. Once you have added pronouns, they can be seen in your profile if you make them public. For users who are below the age of 18, the pronouns will only visible to their followers and not the public.
Being an Instagram user, you are required to fill a form at https://help.instagram.com/contact/ in order to submit pronouns. Instagram has said that it “will continue to update the list of terms over time so that more people around the world can share their pronouns more easily.”
