Saam daam dand bhed. This is everything Indians had used to ensure Tiktok exits India but for what? Merely to give the opportunity to Instagram to release a TikTok-like feature into Instagram called Reels.
Instagram’s Reels is almost like TikTok that allows people to make 15-second videos and post it on Instagram. Reels has been in pipeline as an upcoming Instagram feature for a while. It has been already released in three countries including Germany and Brazil, but the ban of TikTok in India has prompted Instagram to release it a lot early than expected in India.
The popularity of Reels among TikTok-addicted Indians will unveil soon but the feature will surely get some hopes high for TikTok users. And while they seem happy, the ones who didn’t want another TiokTok in the market weren’t. And that was evident in the memes they shared.
