A UPI payment via the Apple iPhone camera feature is now available in 10 more countries other than India. However, users still need to keep their UPI payment apps to finish the payment.

The one option to avoid downloading any dedicated UPI payment app entirely if you are a WhatsApp user is the chat app as it offers UPI payments. Not only WhatsApp but UPI payments are also being offered by Truecaller. It is expected that iPhone users will get Apple Pay when the manufacturer’s payment service arrives in India.

Yet, here are the steps that users can follow to make a UPI payment via the Apple iPhone camera.

Simple Steps to Use Apple iPhone Camera to Make UPI Payments

Step 1: Launch the Camera app on your iPhone.

Step 2: Place it in any of the UPI payment QR codes.

Step 3: Now, the camera will identify a UPI QR code in the viewfinder and you will see a button with the name of your most recently used UPI Payment app like Google Pay, Paytm, PhonePe, BHIM or any other UPI app you use.

Step 5: The UPI app will open and you will be directed to its payment screen. Verify the receiver’s name, enter the amount and press ‘Next’ or ‘Pay’ depending upon your UPI app.

Step 6: Enter your UPI PIN and soon you will see a payment confirmation page.
