IRCTC Passengers Can Now Get Tickets At More Affordable Prices
Two major government organisations of India (BFSL) Bank of Baroda Financial Solutions Limited and IRCTC joined hands together to offer the passengers tickets at more affordable prices. They are planning to launch a new IRCTC BoB Rupay Contactless Credit Card. this plan is going to benefits mostly the frequent travellers. They will now save more on railway tickets using this credit card.
Cardholders will get multiple benefits by using this Co-branded credit card. If they book any AC class tickets through this card they will get at cheaper prices in comparison to other users. Excluding the IRCTC services, cardholders will also have other benefits while purchasing other stuff like groceries, fuel, daily consumables etc. Transactions at international merchants and ATMs through the JCB network are also available with the card.

Chairman and Managing Director of IRCTC ‘Rajni Hasija’ in an interview with ANI said:
“Cardholders of IRCTC BoB RuPay Contactless Credit Card will be able to earn up to 40 reward points (per INR 100 spent) on 1AC, 2AC, 3AC, CC, or Executive Class bookings made through the IRCTC website or mobile app. The card also offers a one per cent transaction fee waiver for the customers on all their train ticket bookings. Customers making a single purchase worth INR 1,000 or more within 45 days of card issuance will get 1,000 bonus reward points”.
IRCTC-BOB Card Holders Will Get Reward Points
The Co-branded credit card users will get rewards points that vary for categories. For groceries, they will get four reward points per spend of Rs.100 and two points for other categories. For the complimentary services, the railway will allow the cardholders to take the benefit of 4 visits per year at railway lounges. To redeem the rewards points the cardholders will have to link their loyalty number (written on the card) to the IRCTC login ID. After the linking process, they can redeem the points on the IRCTC website and apps.

At the launch, MD and CEO of BSFL ‘Shailendra Sing’ said “The card will offer uninterrupted payment convenience and benefits to customers for rail travel as well as all other shopping needs. We also expect the co-branded card to act as a catalyst for further adoption of digital payments in deeper geographies, helped by the presence of both the railway network as well as BoB branches.”
