The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will launch another Bharat Darshan tourist train from Madhya Pradesh today on 08th October 2021 in order to promote religious tourism in the country. The launch comes days after the IRCTC started a similar ‘tourist train’ exploring the five northeastern states under the ‘Dekho Apna Desh’ initiative. The IRCTC tour packages include taking care of all the travel needs of the passengers.
About “Bharat Darshan” Tourist Initiative
Bharat Darshan is a joint project of the Union ministry of tourism and culture and Indian Railways. This project organizes “the world’s cheapest and most comfortable” tour packages from time to time. The key purpose of this initiative is to introduce the culture of different parts of the country to people who are deprived of tourism due to any reason.

Religious Sites The Special Tourist Train Cover
The Bharat Darshan tourist train is being launched from Rewa station (Madhya Pradesh) and travel through railway stations that will let passengers explore Mathura, Agra, Rishikesh, Haridwar, Vaishno Devi shrine (Katra), and Amritsar.
The main reason behind running this train is to give an “enhanced experience to explore beautiful historical and devotional places of North India.”
Features Offered In This Journey
The IRCTC Bharat Darshan tour package provides breakfast, lunch, dinner, and accommodation in budget hotels or dharmshalas as well as tourist buses. Moreover, passengers get accident insurance up to ₹4 lakhs.
IRCTC team will adhere to all the protocols related to health and hygiene, and ensure a safe and worry-free experience by maintaining social distancing throughout the journey.
The IRCTC Public Relations Officer (PRO) Anand Kumar Jha said, “The eight nights and nine days tour has been designed keeping in mind the interest of every kind of traveller, who loves fun with devotion and visit old traditional cities of India.”
Lists of Boarding Stations
IRCTC says that the Bharat Darshan train will start from the Rewa station in Madhya Pradesh. However, special boarding facilities might be also available from the following stations, such as – Satna, Katni, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Itarsi, Hoshangabad, Habibganj, Vidisha, Ganj Basoda, Bina, and Jhansi.
How Much Does Bharat Darshan Touring Package Cost?
The Bharat Darshan tour package starting from Madhya Pradesh from 08th October 2021 will cost ₹8,505 per person for the sleeper class, whereas passengers need to pay ₹10,395 per person for AC 3-tier.
To book tickets for this journey, it is mandatory for each passenger to be fully vaccinated. The age of the passenger should be at least 18 years.
