Sometimes things are bound to happen even if humans try a number of methods to prevent it. And in this case, things went wrong but towards a positive end that put smiles at the faces in the end. Pictures of a baby born with her mother’s contraceptive device in hand meant to avoid pregnancy are going viral.

The pictures are said to be from Vietnam. The 34-year-old mum of the baby was using an intrauterine device (IUD) aka Copper T (due to its shape its called T). The device is used to prevent pregnancy even if partners have unprotected sex by stopping the sperm and egg meeting and changing the lining of the uterus/womb. However, this contraceptive with less than a 1% failure rate couldn’t stop this baby from getting born.
The baby was born in Hai Phong International Hospital and had the contraceptive device in hand. Tran Viet Phuong, an obstetrician at the hospital was quick to capture this unique moment in the picture. She said that she never expected that the picture will receive so much attention from the netizens.
She says that the lady’s IUD may have been dislodged from its original position, rendering it ineffective. The baby’s pic are also been associated with some real swag of his own and he is capturing the eyes on social media.
