Reliance Jio is in talks with international as well as local players for contract manufacturing of its ultra-low cost Android smartphone JioPhone Next. The company reportedly held talks with Singapore-based electronics company Flex and homegrown company UTL Neolnycs, makers of Karbonn mobile phones.
If the discussions with UTL Neolnycs and Flex end up on a positive note, then the low-cost phone would be manufactured in India, as per a report in Business Standard. However, none of the parties have made any clarification on this.

In the recent Reliance Industries AGM, Mukesh Ambani announced that the low-cost smartphone JioPhone Next will be launched on September 10. The phone is expected to be priced below Rs 5,000. With the launch of the smartphone, RIL aims to garner over 500 million customers in the country.

Reliance announced the JioPhone Next during the 44th Reliance AGM. The brand also revealed that the phone will available for purchase starting September 10 on the eve of Ganesh Chaturthi.

Jio Phone Next Price In India
The pricing of Jio Phone Next is currently unknown. However, Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani said that it is the most affordable 4G smartphone in the world. Currently, iTel A53 Pro is the cheapest 4G phone in India at Rs 4,999. So, it’s likely that the JioPhone Next may be priced under Rs 5,000.
