Noida: Diversions and Restrictions
To accommodate the Yatra, Noida authorities have announced several diversions, especially for commercial vehicles:
- Goods vehicles from Chilla Red Light heading to Ghaziabad, Hapur, or Moradabad must use the Eastern Peripheral Expressway via the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway.
- Similar diversions for vehicles using DND Flyway, Delhi-Badarpur Border, or Okhla Barrage.
- Trucks from NIB, Model Town, Chhijarsi, and Taj Highway are also redirected to the Eastern Peripheral.
- MP-01 elevated road users will be shifted to the same expressway.
- Chilla Red Light to Pakshi Vihar Gate will be completely closed to vehicles.
Greater Noida
- Vehicles from Aligarh, Bulandshahr, Sikandrabad (via NH-91 Dadri) must take the Eastern Peripheral Expressway to reach Delhi.
- Traffic from Pari Chowk to Delhi will be diverted at Sirsa roundabout.
Ghaziabad: Traffic Management and Restrictions
Ghaziabad’s Kanwar Yatra routes cover:
- 25 km: Muradnagar to Tila Morh
- 42.5 km: Kadrabad border to Delhi-Ghaziabad border
- 53 km: Delhi-Meerut Expressway and NH-9
Key Restrictions:
- Heavy vehicles rerouted via NH-9 and Eastern Peripheral Expressway.
- Around 600 traffic police and officials deployed for enforcement.
- Entry from Delhi’s Loni Border, Tulsi Niketan Border, Seemapuri Border, and Anand Vihar Border into Ghaziabad is completely restricted.
- Vehicles heading to Haridwar, Amroha, Moradabad, Lucknow, etc., must use UP Gate (Ghazipur Border) and NH-09 to reach the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.
- Traffic from Baghpat to Delhi is rerouted from Tronica City to Sonia Vihar.
- Heavy vehicles from Loni Border to Loni town are not allowed.
- No entry for heavy vehicles into Indirapuram via NH-09 from Gaur Green, Khoda, Kalapatthar, Sector 62, Chhijarsi, and Kanawani Pushta.
Meerut: Lane Allocation and Diversions
- Heavy vehicles from Delhi to Dehradun will be diverted through Hapur, Kithor, and Mawana from Dasna Interchange starting July 10.
- Light vehicles will follow the same route from July 19.
- Lane allocation: One lane for Kanwariyas, another for local residents.
- QRT teams stationed at key points for rapid response to traffic jams.
- Drones and CCTV used for real-time monitoring and quick action in case of congestion.
