Kanwar Yatra 2025: Namo Bharat Train Timings Changed by NCRTC – Full Update Here
To make travel easier during the busy Kanwar Yatra season, the National Capital Region Transport Corporation has adjusted the schedule of Namo Bharat trains. For the next few weeks, trains will start running five minutes earlier in the morning and evening. During the peak hours of the yatra, trains will be available every ten minutes from early morning to late evening, making it much more convenient for commuters and devotees.
This change comes as a relief for many, especially office workers and those traveling to Haridwar to collect holy water. The Kanwar Yatra brings large crowds onto the roads, often causing heavy traffic and delays. With more frequent trains and earlier start times, people now have a faster and more comfortable way to reach their destinations.
Authorities have also taken steps to manage road traffic in cities like Meerut. Heavy vehicles are not allowed on certain highways during the night, and only one lane is open for vehicles on specific days. Traffic marshals are stationed at key points, and extra lighting has been arranged at stations and surrounding areas to ensure safety and smooth movement.
Construction work at train stations has been paused in crowded areas, and parking near station sites is restricted to keep the roads clear. These measures are designed to help both devotees and daily commuters travel with less stress during this important time.
The Namo Bharat train service continues to transform travel in the region by offering a reliable, high-speed alternative to traditional road transport, especially during major events like the Kanwar Yatra.
