Trailing 1-0 in only the 6th minute of the match the team showed spirited performance to beat the two-time champions Atlético de Kolkata (ATK) 2-1. ATK’s Irish import Carl McHugh put the team ahead by scoring ATK’s 100th goal in the ISL.

Bringing his team back in the game Bartholomew Ogbeche hit the net twice in the 30th and 45th minute. In the 30th minute, Kerala Blasters got a penalty and Bartholomew Ogbeche was bang on to convert it into an equalizer.
