We all are aware how messed up the idea of inter-caste or inter-religion marriage could get in India. Couples, even in 2020, who marry outside their caste or religion are often threatened of dire consequences as society is so narrow-minded when it comes to understanding love.
Nevertheless, some sections of the society have surely evolved over time and understood that what they have preached over time doesn’t have to imply on everyone else. And Kerala is one such state.
The Department of Social Justice in Kerala has unveiled the unique initiative wherein it will set up safe houses for inter-caste and inter-religion couples in all its districts.
