The road for Khattar 2.0 in Haryana was cleared on Friday. In a joint press conference of BJP and JJP leaders, the latter announced its support to BJP to form the government in the state.

As per the agreed terms, CM would be from BJP while the Deputy CM would come from JJP. BJP who got 40 seats in a hung assembly now has sufficient numbers after JJP’s support to cross the threshold mark. BJP was 6 seats short of majority and was initially looking to go for support of Independent MLAs to form the government.
JJP leader Dushyant Chautala that the alliance would provide a stable and progressive government in the state. As per inside reports, two Cabinet and one Minister of State berth along with a Rajya Sabha seat would be given to JJP.
Early on Friday, Manohar Lal Khattar was called to Delhi where he met Independent MLA’s and BJP’s central leadership to discuss the possibilities of forming the government in the state.

Five independent MLAs extended there support to BJP. Controversial leader Gopal Kanda extended it’s support to the BJP quickly after the results were announced. However, the party was reluctant in taking the support of the MLA facing charges of murder.
