Indian skipper Virat Kohli aka run machine Kohli lit up the historic pink ball test in Eden gardens with a magnificent ton. Carrying on from his score of 59* overnight the skipper handled the Bangladeshi attack with ease to bring up his 27th test ton.

Kohli has now become only the third player in the history of the game to have scored 70 International centuries (including all the three formats). He is behind the likes of the master blaster Sachin Tendulkar and former Aussie skipper Ricky Pointing. Kohli also equaled Pointing’s record of 41 centuries as skipper.

This was Kohli’s 20th test century as a captain who now has 43 ODI and 27 test tons under his belt. At lunch on Day 2 India was placed comfortably with 289/4 having a lead of 183 runs with Kohli (130*) and Ravindra Jadeja (12*) on the crease.
