The Haryana government has announced a new welfare initiative called the Lado Lakshmi Yojana, designed to provide women with direct financial support to enhance their self-reliance. This scheme is part of the continuous efforts made by governments to uplift and empower women with financial security.
Launch Date and Application Process
The Lado Lakshmi Yojana is set to officially launch on September 25th, with Chief Minister Nayab Saini introducing it at a major state-level event. Before the full rollout, the government conducted test runs for the online application system by registering 100 women in each district, resulting in around 1,200 women already being enrolled.
Once the dedicated portal goes live on the launch date, eligible applicants will be able to apply with ease. Successful women beneficiaries will directly receive ₹2,100 every month in their bank accounts. This financial aid is expected to help women cover essential expenses and work towards independence without relying solely on others.
Eligibility and Benefits
The scheme is designed to reach a wide group of women across Haryana. However, there are a few eligibility conditions:
- Age Limit: Women between 23 and 60 years can apply.
- Family Limit: Up to three women from a single family can benefit, including a mother-in-law, daughter-in-law, and daughter.
- Residential Criteria:
- Unmarried women must be residents of Haryana for at least 15 years.
- Married women should have husbands who have lived in the state for no less than 15 years.
