Delhi based eyewear startup Lenskart is raising a whopping $231 million (around ₹1,644 crore) from SoftBank Vision Fund II Lightbulb Ltd as part of its Series G round. Post the deal, the value of Lenskart hiked to $1.5 billion, thus helping it sail into the ‘unicorn’ startup club. The Faridabad-based startup also raised around $55 million from Kedaara Capital in September.

Founded in 2010, the eyewear brand deals in eyeglasses, powered sunglasses, and contact lenses. Lenkart has a strong online and offline presence in the market and plans to take its number of stores in the country to 2,000 stores in the next five years.
