The pandemic triggered lockdown has left many with job loss or salary cuts these days. While some have found the ways to manage the expense others are left with no option. The same is the story with these 3 friends who lost their jobs due to the lockdown.
The 3 friends turned to snatching and theft to manage their expenses after the job loss. The incident has come to light from Punjab’s Ludhiana. The trio executed 6 snatchings before being caught by the Punjab police. The 3 were arrested on Friday. The 3 friends have no criminal record as per the police.
As per reports from Hindustan Times the 3 are identified as Pavittar Singh, 29, of Bahadurke village, Roop Lal, 32, of Bhattian and Mahinder Singh, 33, of Jeevanpur village. The police have said that the 3 had a toy pistol and motorcycle to execute the snatchings. Before lockdown, the trio used to work at the same place.

Pavittar used to work as a security guard in a factory, while Roop Lal and Mahinder were workers there. “They told us that they wanted to pay off their debts so they took to crime. So far, they have confessed to their involvement in six cases“, said Inspector Parveen Randev. The trio has confessed their involvement in 6 snatchings.
