Lord Ram Was Nepali Not Indian, India Created Fake Ayodhya Says Prime Minister Of Nepal

India and Nepal relations are already at its worse these days. After banning of Indian news channels by Nepal now its Prime Minister (PM) has given a strange kind of statement. The PM of Nepal has said that Lord Ram was a Nepali and not Indian as is popular and believed.

Although the real Ayodhya lies at Thori in the west of Birgunj, India has claimed the Indian site as the birthplace of Lord Ram“, said Nepali PM K.P Sharma Oli. Carrying on further he said that India has created a fake Ayodhya and the real one is in Nepal. The PM made the statements while addressing a program marking the birth anniversary of Bhanubhakta Acharya

“In reality, Ayodhya is a village lying west of Birgunj”, he said. He accused India of cultural encroachment. “Till now we have remained under the belief that Ram, the man Sita married, was an Indian… he was not, he was a Nepali. Balmiki Ashram is in Nepal and the holy place where King Dashrath had executed the rites to get the son is in Ridi. Dashrath’s son Ram was not an Indian and Ayodhya is also in Nepal“, said Oli to prove his point. How Lord Rama could come to Janakpur(In Nepal from where Mata Sita belonged) to marry Sita when there was “no means” of communication he said adding to the bizarreness of his statements.

Ramayan is also significant for Nepal who is also a majority Hindu nation with links to Mata Sita. In 2018, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had visited Janakpur and had inaugurated a direct bus service to Ayodhya as part of a ‘Ramayan Circuit’. However, such bizarre remarks are something that the PM should think of before speaking.
