Purchasing liquor in India for women is not an easy task as liquor shops are often crowded with men in its vicinity. The Madhya Pradesh government surely understands the woe and has decided to open “women-friendly” alcohol shops in the state as a solution to the same.
As per a report, the Kamal Nath government will set up such shops at malls and upmarket places. These shops will sell wines and whiskeys from brands that are popular among women drinkers. Two of such shops will be set up in both Bhopal and Indore, and one each in Jabalpur and Gwalior.

The government also plans to erect shops at the markets that would sell foreign liquor to the ones fond of the same. State excise commissioner Rajesh Bahuguna told PTI, “Under the new liquor policy, limited number of outlets selling high-end premium liquor, formulated and bottled.
