As the situation is worst of the worst in Maharashtra with over 67, 665 cases exams are a big no in the state. While other universities are looking to take online exams for final years students Maharashtra has decided against it. Chief minister Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday clarified that universities in Maharashtra will not be holding any exams even for final year students.
Though the University Grant Commission (UGC) has asked universities to promote 1st and 2nd-year students on previous performances it has called for final year exam. CM Thackrey said that final year students would also be promoted based on their past performance. However, those students who want to appear for the final exams to improve their previous performance, they can be given an opportunity in September, October, or November, based on how the situation evolves said the CM.
