The Political crisis in Maharashtra is growing more complex with each passing day. Eknath Shinde has affirmed that he is having the support of 50 MLAs. As per him, the number is enough for dividing the party without getting caught under the anti-defection law.
Maharashtra Crisis: More Hands Against The Chief Minister?
The current scenario of the political crisis in Maharashtra shows that the number of MLAs against current CM Udhao Thackrey is increasing. Rebel leader Eknath Shinde is growing stronger as he currently has 42 MLAs by his side. The total number of MLAs required to split the party in the state assembly is 37.
Shinde has claimed in front of the media that the actual number of leaders by his side is 50. He has said that 40MLAs by his side are from the Shiv Sena. The coalition of Shiv Sena with NCP and Congress party is seen as the prominent reason for the rebellious attitude of Eknath Shinde. He has called the ties of Shiv Sena with these two parties as “Unnatural”.
Sanjay Raut Speaks About Sharad Pawar
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has claimed that Maharashtra alliance leader Sharad Pawar is getting threats from a union minister. Questioning Prime minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, he said, “He is the son of Maharashtra. They are threatening him. Modi ji, Amit Shah, have you heard? Your minister is threatening Sharad Pawar – do you support such threats? Maharashtra wants to know,”Â

Disqualification pleas against all the rebellious MLAs have been filed. It is suspected that a notice against the same will be issued today. On the other hand, MLAs are planning to move to the Supreme Court after getting notice for disqualification pleas. It is also being said that Eknath Shinde will be approaching The Election Commission of India for claims regarding the party and its symbol.
