The incident happened at 6 am this morning. As per Police, a school bus collided front to front with an SUV killing 6 six people of a family and two were injured. The collision happened on Delhi-Meerut express highway after the bus travelled 8km on the wrong side.
Six Killed, Two Injured in Accident at UP Expressway
This news is from Ghaziabad and this accident happened around 6 am.
The bus was halted near the Ghazipur border at the CNG pump and then went ahead on the wrong side of the expressway, said Ramanand Kushwaha, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic (Ghaziabad).
After the accident, the bus driver was arrested.
“The bus driver was arrested. He was at complete fault as he was moving on the wrong side,” said the officials.
Bodies Get Trapped Inside the Vehicle
The family was travelling from Meerut to Gurugram and at the time of the accident the car crossed the Vijay Nagar Chowk.
As per Police, “the collision was so severe that bodies were trapped in the front portion of the car and could only be extricated after a gas-cutter was used on the doors.”

“Eyewitnesses in the area said the SUV was coming from the Meerut side when it collided with the school bus. The collision was intense,” they said.
