West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is in a quick political battle with Prime Minister Narendra Modi as their parties push for the best in the coming Bengal Assembly election. Mamata Banerjee has released the Trinamool Congress’s Manifesto for Bengal polls. It is seen that she has taken an instance of the Narendra Modi election book.
Ahead of the Lok Sabha 2019 election, PM Narendra Modi had announced for cash assistance scheme for farmers as they eyed to return in the power. Mamata also has announced cash doles as per the TMC manifesto to come into power for the third consecutive time in the Bengal Assembly election.

Poll Promises That Bengal CM Made at the Release of TMC Manifesto
1. The TMC manifesto states that guaranteed to provide a minimum monthly income of Rs 6,000 for general category families and Rs 12,000 for SC/ST/OBC households.
2. Pension for especially abled people and widows. Bengal CM announced that if we are voted to power again in the Bengal Assemble election, the government will provide financial support of Rs 1,000/ month for widows and especially abled people who are or above 18 years.
3. She said that the assistance against one kattha (720 sq ft) of agriculture land will get Rs 10,000 a year. Currently, the government is providing support of Rs. 6000 a year.
4. As per the manifesto released, students will get a loan up to Rs 10 lakh for higher studies @ 4% interest.
Moreover, she announced door-to-door ration delivery through the Public Distribution System (PDS). This will surely help the people in saving money and loss of work due to a long queue at the ration distribution centre.
“Cash support” Manifesto
Cash support is one of the most attractive options for political parties. It has resulted positively in many elections, especially in the South Indian States. Just like the TMC manifesto, the ruling AIADMK has also promised free Amma six free LPG cylinders annually, a washing machine, free mosquito net, free solar stove, doorstep ration delivery, and free cable TV connection.
The Indian National Congress also offered cash assistance in the Lok Sabha Election 2019. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi announced Rs. 72,000 to every household under Nyay or Nyuntam Aay Yojana in the country, if they were voted to power in the 2019 election. As per the political researchers, the scheme failed to make a huge impact as Congress delayed its announcement.
