A 56 years old man has been charged for keeping a woman as a ‘sex slave’ for over 31 years. The shocking incident has come to light from the Latin American city of Maracay in Venezuela.
The man named Matias Salazar was also accused of crimes including psychological violence, and sexual violence and sexual slavery of the 49-year-old woman identified as Morella.

On 24th January Morella escaped from the apartment building and sought help at a branch of a state-run women’s advocacy agency. The case came to light on 5th February. Residents of the apartment where Salazar kept Morella captive were shocked and said that they had not noticed anything out of the ordinary.
