While Google Maps has just upgraded itself on its 15th birthday to become more useful however everything is not good with its users. A man from Minneapolis city in the state of Minnesota, US has complaints against the popular app.
The man claims that the Google Maps directed him to cross the frozen Mississippi River on foot. He apparently tried walking through the frozen river before falling through the ice. The man who was half-submerged was rescued by firefighters. He suffered a mild case of hypothermia.

The incident shows that glitches in the app can happen. Especially at situations where real-life app directions do not exactly math to your desired destination. Google maps generally provide updates about road blocks due to accidents or natural disasters and also suggest re-route.
