Carrying on from his score of 215 in Vizag Indian opener Mayank Agarwal scored his 2nd ton of the series against South Africa on the 1st Day of the 2nd test in Pune.

Mayank scored 108 off 195 deliveries which included 16 boundaries and two maximums. Doing so he become only the 4th Indian to score two consecutive test hundreds against South Africa.

Only Mohammad Azharuddin, Sachin Tendulkar, and Virender Sehwag have achieved this feat earlier. After Rohit fell earlier Mayank provided resistance and stitched a partnership with Pujara.
At stumps on Day 1, India was placed comfortably at 273/3 with captain Kohli and Rahane on the crease.
