Fast-food giant McDonald’s on Sunday fired its chief executive officer Steve Easterbrook after he was found guilty of violating the company’s policy by engaging in a consensual relationship with an employee. For the unknown, McDonald’s forbids managers from having romantic relationships with direct or indirect subordinates.

The board of directors that voted on Steve’s departure has named Chris Kempczinski, who recently served as president of McDonald’s USA, as its new president and CEO.
