On Tuesday, Microsoft Corp. crossed the $2 trillion market capitalization milestone. However, the stock later dropped slightly and failed to close the regular trading sessions with its market value just above the threshold.

The Microsoft shares traded at $265.79 on Tuesday’s, above the $265.55 price required for the coveted $2 trillion valuation. Microsoft Corp. on Nasdaq closed its trading at $265.51, which is up $2.88 or 1.10%, on the Nasdaq.

Amid the Covid-19 pandemic period, MSFT recorded a strong demand for its workplace-productivity solutions, cloud-computing service, and personal computers. The company’s third-quarter results trumped expectations driven by strong growth across its business segments.
