Researchers in a paper have mentioned that the estimated mass of our Milky Way galaxy is 890 billion times the mass of our Sun, weighing about 1.8 tredecillion kilograms (1 tredecillion representing 1 followed by 42 zeroes).

The researchers claimed that its dark matter’s mass was alone found to be equal to about 830 billion Suns. The galaxy was approximated to be 256,000 light-years across. Reaercges used data from multipole resources to make an estimation. The data provided information about the way stars, gas and other material in the galaxy move.
