The Mumbai to Ahmedabad Bullet Train project is currently under construction. The new bullet train project is intended to travel 15576 km in Maharashtra, 4.3 km in Dadra & Nagar Haveli, and 348.04 km in Gujarat. Approximately 508 kilometers will be covered by the new Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (MAHSR) project, stopping at 12 stations along the way.
According to various sources, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that the route would be operational in August 2026. When the high-speed train departs, travel between the financial hubs will only take two hours and seven minutes.

The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited website states that the high-speed train will travel 320 km/hr over 508 kilometers.

The train would stop in 12 cities along the route, including Anand, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Bilimora, Vapi, Boisar, Virar, Thane, and Mumbai (Bandra Kurla Complex).
Cost and Technology Of Bullet Train from Mumbai to Ahmedabad
The high-speed rail system between Mumbai and Ahmedabad uses Japanese Shinkansen technology to maximize passenger safety. The total cost of the project will be close to Rs 2 lakh crore. This will have its initial phase operational by 2026.
