The city of Mumbai on Friday saw people turning out in numbers on the street to protest against and show support to the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Demonstration was organized in August Kranti maidan in support of CAA where former Maharashtra Cheif Minister of the state Devendra Fadnavis was also present.
Less than 6 km away from the August Kranti maidan protest was organized against CAA in the Azad Maidan area. Not only Mumbai protests were also organized in other parts of the country as well on Friday.

Ajmer, Vijaywada, Delhi, parts of Uttar Pradesh saw people turning out to protest against the bill. Internet services are also shut down in many districts of Uttar Pradesh for 24 hours.
