In a country where most of the children are given notebooks and pens when they are born, there are still some who break such code and rise up to become the Soorma that everyone can look upto,
When it comes to athletes, India takes pride in producing champs who are the best of the bests.
Be it boxing or cricket, badminton or hockey, the success flag waves everywhere. Professionals like Mary Kom, P.T.Usha, Sushil Kumar, M.S.Dhoni, Sandeep Singh have set the arenas on fire with their top-notch performances.
And to add to the existing list, we have 20-year old ‘Neeraj Chopra’, the magnificent javelin thrower from Panipat, Haryana.
This super- young Indian track and field athlete is a professional javelin thrower and has made India proud ever since he stepped in the sports arena.Â
He has bagged several golds which include Asian Athletic championships, Commonwealth Games, World Youth Championships, Asian Championships, South Asian Games, Asian Junior Championships, World U20 Championships, Asian Championships, World Championships and IAAF Diamond League.
He has also broken the national record at the Doha Diamond League. That too with a throw of whopping 87.43 meters. He had the earlier national record of 86.48m when he won the gold in the 2016 World Junior Championships in Poland. That mark is also the existing world junior record.
But that’s not the only reason we are talking about this young sports hunk. At such a small age, it seems like Neeraj hasn’t just worked hard on his sports performance, but also on his fitness and his killer looks. Looks like he loves traveling too. (Or at least that’s what it looks like when you see his profile)
There are many things you probably don’t know about him. Like how hot he is, how did he begin training, what is his favorite food etc.. etc..
1. He is a farmers son and says,’ It’s just chance that I became a javelin thrower. If Panipat had runners I would have become a runner.’Â
2. Neeraj was spotted by former javelin thrower Jaiveer Singh at a volleyball tournament in 2011, seeing his agility & strength at the age of 13 Jaiveer talked to him and convinced to take up a career in Javelin throwing, he trained him initially.
And That’s how he does his core practice nowadays!

He was taller than most kids in his school, teachers would pick him to participate in all games, he grew up playing a lot of sports.
Fun fact:Â Neeraj weighed 77kg at the age of 13, his uncle was strict and put him in sports. ( lol )
He did a good job though by doing this, don’t you think?Â
Neeraj’s zodiac sign is ‘Capricorn’.Â

He loves listening to music.
He loves traveling and exploring new places.Â
His favorite athlete is Jan Zelezny. (A retired Czech track and field athlete)
Neeraj cleared the distance of 86.48M setting the world record at the age of 18 years, 212 days.
He is the first Indian to win a gold at Common Wealth Games.Â
Indian Army had offered him a post which he accepted. (I bet the army uniform will just end up adding more hotness to his already hot persona.)
With already winning several golds and piercing the hearts of millions with his chiseled looks and body, he is all set for his next big thing. And honestly, there’s nothing else but to say, ‘ You rock Neeraj’.
