Nepal on Sunday, after hosting The Mount Everest Fashion Runway at Kala Patthar, near Everest base, has set a New World Record for organizing the highest altitude fashion show event ever held on land. 18 models from 10 different countries walked the ramp at an elevation of 5340 meters (17515 feet) to forge a Guinness World Record.

The fashion show was a part of the initiative by the Nepal Tourism Board to create awareness about climate change. As a part of the same, the designs pattern and apparel used in the show were bio-degradable. The models also used probiotic detergent to lessen the carbon footprint.
