New Zealand has shown progress in curbing the spread of the virus in the country within just four weeks, which is phenomenal. The progress has motivated Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern to gradually lift the lockdown in the county to ease out the lives of the people.
And as people come out on the roads and business once again start functioning like they once used to, it’s the time to celebrate for the New Zealanders.
One among those New Zealanders is the Mayor of Queenstown Lakes District, Jim Boult. The Mayor, as the lockdown was lifted, decided to go for bungee jumping to celebrate the same.
The Facebook page of Queenstown Lakes District Council shared the video from the Kawarau River, showing the early morning bungee-jumping adventure. Well, the video surely makes us crave some adventure, which is now limited to the four walls of our house.
“Mayor Boult leapt into Level Two this morning out at the AJ Hackett Bungy New Zealand over the Kawarau River,” read the caption.
People also got to meet their loved ones as the lockdown was lifted.
