The officials said that the coronavirus-induced night curfew in certain cities of Gujarat has been extended till 28th August. They also said that the curfew will continue from 11 pm till 6 am in the following cities – Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat, Bhavnagar, Junagadh, Gandhinagar, and Jamnagar.
The Gujarat government said that all other restrictions imposed in the order issued on July 29 will remain in force till Sunday, 28th August. However, eateries to function till 10 pm and capping the attendance at public functions to 400.

As per the July 29 announcement, the Ganesh Utsav festivities in public places will take place with the idol height kept at a maximum of nine feet.
In the past 24-hours, the state has registered 17 new covid-19 cases that take the tally of cases to 8,25,118, as the Health Department said on Thursday. The Health Department release says that Gujarat records 182 active cases, of which 4 patients are on a ventilator.
As of now, more than 3.85 crore Coronavirus doses have been administered in the state. Gujarat’s Covid-19 figures are as follows – Positive cases 8,25,118, New Cases 17, Discharged 8,14,858, Active Cases 182, Death 10,078.
