Check and balance needs to be maintained in the states of Kerala and Bengal as the news of them cushioning terrorists is once again in the news.
The National Investigation Agency has arrested as many as nine Al-Qaeda terrorists from Kerala and Bengal in the wee hours of Saturday. The raids, as per the reports, were conducted in West Bengal’s Murshidabad and Kerala’s Ernakulam.
“NIA had learnt about an inter-state module of Al-Qaeda operatives at various locations in India, including West-Bengal and Kerala. The group was planning to undertake terrorist attacks at vital installations in India with an aim to kill innocent people and strike terror,” NIA said in a statement.
“Large quantity of incriminating materials including digital devices, documents, jihadi literature, sharp weapons, country-made firearms, a locally fabricated body armour, articles and literature used for making home-made explosive devices have been seized from their possession,” the NIA said, adding that “these individuals were radicalised by Pakistan-based Al-Qaeda terrorists on social media and were motivated to undertake attacks at multiple places,” including Delhi-NCR.
For the unaware, the two states, especially Kerala, are targeted over and over again by politicians for mushrooming terrorists. Six terrorists arrested today were residing in West Bengal and three in Kerala. They were planning single wolf attacks and human bombs, officials said.
I have said it before and I will repeat it again…… Murshidabad, Malda, South 24 pargana, Dinajpur in West Bengal are fully under Thookiya control….. and Kolkata is HQ…State police is just a mute spectator as many from ruling party are also involved……..
