Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday fueled speculations among the citizens after he tweeted that he is thinking to give up his Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube accounts in a week.
In a tweet he shared, PM Modi wrote “thinking of giving up my social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & YouTube,” he didn’t reveal anything much and promised to keep the people updated.
For the unaware, since PM Modi came to power in 2014, he hasn’t addressed even a single press conference. The leader has used his social media to interact with the people ever since.

As of now, PM Modi is one of the most followed world leaders across social media platforms with 53.3 million followers on Twitter, 44 million on Facebook, 35.2 million on Instagram and 4.5 million on YouTube.
After being shared on Twitter and Instagram, the post ignited reactions of dismay, sarcastic replies and also pieces of ‘advice’ from the netizens. Naturally, Rahul Gandhi also can’t stop himself from sharing his response and advised him to “Give up hatred, not social media accounts”.
