At a time when mainstream media is too much busy with JNU and CAA the barbaric gangrape and murder of a 19 years old Dalit girl from Gujarat has gone unnoticed even after 10 days. of her going missing.
Twitter on Friday was flooded with tweets for # JusticeForKajal bringing to notice the pathetic situation of women safety in the country. On 1st January 19 years old girl went missing after which her family went to lodge a missing complaint which was refused by the police.
4 days later on 5th January, she was found hanging from a banyan tree in Gujarat’s Saira Village of Modasa. As per the sources, the girl was abducted and raped by four men who later killed her. To resemble a suicide they hanged the body to the banyan tree.
Even after finding her dead body the Police was reluctant to lodge an FIR said girl’s aunt. Two days after founding her hung body the Police registered a case. Villagers have been protesting in Ahmedabad civil hospital demanding justice and suspension of the police officer on duty which has gone unaired in the national media.
As the news got on social media people across the country are demanding for justice and action from the government on the repeated rapes across the country. The netizens have taken the police under the hammer who did not take necessary action.

The police and administration have been criticized for not taking an action as the victim was a Dalit girl. The four accused have now been arrested and the investigations are underway.
