MyGov has contracted up with the Meta Owned instant messenger WhatsApp, to offer the latest service of accessing Digilocker Helpdesk on this famous platform. With the help of these services, users can create and activate their Digilocker account to access essential documents online including, “PAN card, driving license, vehicle registration certificate,” etc.
MyGov Helpdesk On WhatsApp
The government’s motive for providing MyGov Helpdesk on WhatsApp is to make its services more transferable, easily accessible, inclusive and simple. Official press note describes, “The Government has been working to promote “Ease of Living” through Digital India and the MyGov Helpdesk on WhatsApp is a major step to ensure governance and government services are at the fingertips of citizens.”
The essential documents which are now easily accessible through WhatsApp are “PAN card, Driving License, CBSE Class X Passing Certificate, Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC), Insurance Policy – Two Wheeler, Class X and XII Marksheet, and Insurance Policy Document (Life and Non-life available on Digilocker) handy.”
How To Download A PAN Card Through Instant Messaging App?
To activate the communication between digilocker and a user, the word ‘Namaste’ or ‘Hi’ or ‘Digilocker’ is mandatory to send on the number +91 9013151515.

Here are the steps to follow:
- Save the number +91 9013151515 as WhatsApp contact.
- Send any word after choosing from above, for example, ‘Namaste’ to +91 9013151515.
- Then the Digilocker services will provide you with the list of services offered.
- Just enter the exact number of which you want to avail the services.
After completing the process, Digilocker Helpdesk will let you access your documents on WhatsApp. But note that these services are accessible to those who have their documents saved on Digilocker. Digilocker is available on both Google Play Store and Apple Store.
As per the official press note, “With new additions like Digilocker, the MyGov chatbot on WhatsApp aims to build a comprehensive administrative support system for citizens to access resources and essential services that are digitally inclusive.”
It is also known that till now 80 million people are availing of the services offered by Digilocker Helpdesk which has resulted in over 33 million downloads of COVID Vaccination certificates, and millions of vaccine appointments bookings across India.
