If you, like me, have always wondered if one feels cold inside an igloo? (because obviously, they are made of ice), then here’s your chance to take a floor test.
Happens to be, Manali is calling out backpackers to book a stay in igloos. For the unaware, igloos are dome-like structure made of ice with an opening that you can get through and save yourself from chilly waves. these structures are quite popular in Switzerland, Central Arctic, Greenland and more.
Himachal Pradesh is freezing since the last couple of weeks due to continuous snowfall (pictures and videos of which you can check out here). So an igloo-stay seems like a dope idea.

The price for a single night stay at the igloo varies between Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 10,000 depending upon the type and luxuries an igloo intact. These igloos were initially built on an experimental basis four years ago but today they have become extremely popular.
Situated at an altitude of 9,000 feet in the Sethan village in Hamta, the igloos are pretty different then the normal once. They have lamps, comfy beds, blankets and lots and lots of space (though you won’t need much as you will only be cuddling anyways).
Besides luxury living, you are also served authentic food and you can also indulge in activities like snowboarding or sit around a bonfire with other tourists.
