Taking customer’s safety in stride popular cab aggregator Ola has decided to integrate its app with that of police. In a recent move, Ola has decided to integrate its in-app emergency button with the Bengaluru Police’s safety app.
With the integration, users can share their ride-information with the police. The details shared would include driver and car details. Whenever a customer presses the ‘emergency button’, they will have the option to call the police directly via 100. Once activated police will have real-time access to the customer’s ride information and the vehicle’s GPS coordinates. This would enable the nearest police team to track the car.
Further, Ola’s Safety Response Team (SRT) will also immediately contact the customer and provide on-phone assistance until safety is ensured. Bengaluru would be the second city in India where Ola would be offering this integration. The plan was first implemented in Hyderabad.
