The Sambhar lake in Phulera, Rajasthan is a favorite site among migratory birds to visit during the winter season. Notably, the death of the birds came into notice when a few ornithologists went to the Sambhar Lake for photography on Sunday.

As per the reports from Times of India, water contamination or algae poisoning has been cited as the primary reason behind the deaths of birds.
