For the first time, in the wake of Republic Day, Indian Railways has prohibited reservations for rail parcel services (package packages) on any Delhi-bound train from January 23–26.
All trains operating in the Delhi region, including those from New Delhi, Delhi, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Anand Vihar Terminal, Delhi Sarai Rohilla, and Adarsh Nagar Delhi stations, are subject to this instruction. According to sources, the railway board has sent this direction to all divisional offices and zonal railroads.
As per the directions, no package reservations from anywhere in the nation would be accepted for any train travelling to New Delhi during these four days. The decision has been made to remove all railway parcel packages from the parcel godowns and platforms between January 23 and January 26. aboard the other hand, travellers aboard trains are not prohibited from bringing personal bags on board.
Every year on January 26 and August 15, the nation, and especially the railroads, are constantly on high alert for threats. During these crucial days for the nation, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and the Railway Special Protection Force (RPSF) take extra precautions to bolster security at all train stations.
